How long will a tube of unopened mascara last?

I went to the drugstore today and bought Covergirl’s Lashblast. I already opened and used it. My friend just got me two tubes of Maybeline mascara. She said that it was such a good deal she couldn’t pass it up and she doesn’t wear mascara. I don’t want to give the mascara away because it was a gift, and I’m the only person I know who has such a love of mascara. If mascara remains unopened, how long will it last?

depends, if your using it 3 months…
It will last a long time if it is unopened- a couple of years as it doesn’t go off if it is sealed. It is only after you’ve opened it that you should use it within a certain amount of time. You shouldn’t use a mascara for longer than three months, but it should run out within that time anyway if you are using it every day. However, on the bottle it will tell you how long you *can* use it for – usually 6 months.
I’m pretty sure it’ll last quite a few months. There may be an experation date somewhere on the original package, and if not I’m sure you can write a letter to Covergirl’s customer care reps on their website and get a definate answer.
if its never been opened then it would last a year or so
but if you have opened it then it would last for like 3- 4 monthss
